A donation was made in 1984, by Emeritus Professor J.F. Ward of Townsville, in memory of his great-aunt Edith Ward, who in 1896 was among the first 55 women to graduate at The University of Melbourne. It also commemorates the association over a span of four generations of the Ward Family with the School of Physics. |
