Born: c. 1885. Died: 25 May 1951. | |
Thompson was demonstrator, lecturer and senior lecturer in metallurgy at the University of Melbourne from 1918-41. During World War II he investigated corrosion in the cooling systems of aircraft as a part-time investigator in corrosion with the RAAF and CSIR. |

Born ca 1885. Died 25 May 1951. Educated Working Men's College, Melbourne. Public Analyst's diploma course 1911. Lecturer in chemistry, Melbourne Working Men's College 1906-18, demonstrator in metallurgy, University of Melbourne 1918-20, lecturer from 1920, later senior lecturer (and sometime acting professor) till 1941. President, Society of Chemical Industry of Victoria 1924 and 1925. | |
