Australian Science at Work Index

Transferring the existing index from the printed edition to the online edition has been one of the most challenging, yet rewarding, aspects of the project. The index terms reflecting people and organisations have been linked, to their Bright Sparcs and Australian Science at Work pages.

This has enabled us to produce this Australian Science at Work Index, drawing date and function information from Australian Science at Work and presenting it with chapter information from Technology in Australia 1788-1988.

A sample entry is presented below:-

Advisory Council of Science and Industry (1916 - 1920)
Chapter 2 - Food Technology
The Coming Of Science, 115
Chapter 13 - Defence Science and Technology
First World War, 893
