Quality and standards (continued)Continuing work by CSIRO and others in the area of timber standards has done much to promote the better utilization of Australian timbers. The preparation in the 1970s of the widely used SAA Timber Framing and Timber Engineering Codes has been particularly noteworthy in this regard.
