Material passed on to PCM in 1945 by Maria Henley. Includes: covering letter from Maria Henley to PCM; a letter written in 1895 from Ferdinand von Mueller to 'Miss Henley' about a fungus which von Mueller had named Cordyceps henleyae; 'A revision of the genus Cordyceos' by George Masse (Royal Herbarium, Kew), which includes a description and a diagram of Cordyceps henleyae; several newspaper clippings, including one about the death of von Mueller, and three about the fungus and the 'vegetable caterpillar' which acts as its host. It is not clear whether PCM's correspondent is the same Miss M. Henley after whom the fungus was named. As a result of having received this material, PCM gave a radio broadcast on the Cordyceos and the 'vegetable caterpillar', which was later included in Along the Track with Crosbie Morrison (see file 3-8) and 2-7).
