Born: 1904 Germany. Died: 1966. | |
Matthaei was a technical agent for the Zeiss organisation in Melbourne from 1929 and in 1937 started his own business. He took a technical post at the University of Melbourne, where in 1942 he joined the Optical Munitions Laboratory and was later a lecturer. His research was in the area of fluorescence microscopy. |
