Ducker joined the staff of the Botany Department, University of Melbourne as a Technical Assistant in 1945, retiring as a senior lecturer in Botany in 1974. She is particularly interested in phycology - the study of seaweed. |

Research assistant, University of Melbourne 1945-57, lecturer in botany 1957-61, senior lecturer 1961-74, senior research associate since 1974. ANZAAS Mueller Medal 1996. Has an annual postgraduate scholarship endowed in her name. | |
