Both papers detail the history of the Zoological Gardens and the acclimatisation of animals and birds in Australia and to the Zoological Gardens. Included with the draft copies are the corrections and alterations made to the articles by Le Souëf and the added footnotes. Also correspondence between J.C. Le Souëf and Warren Perry from the Royal Historical Society of Victoria regarding the articles, 1964.

This file consists of J.C. Le Souëf's 4 notebooks which document the history of the zoo, from 1861 to 1927. The notes may have been used for the papers written by J.C. Le Souëf titled "Acclimatization of Victoria" and "Development of Royal Park as Zoological Gardens".
