1 black notebook with 'Day Book' inscribed on the front cover, lists the article titles written by J.C. Le Souëf from 1931 to 1934, where the article was sent to be published, if the article was published, when, and how much money Le Souëf received for the published piece. The notebook also outlines the expenses for the Fauna Park for the year 1935 (January and Febuary) including the fares to Belgrave;
1 dark green notebook with 'Journal' inscribed on the front cover, lists details of houses including the number of bedrooms, lounge room, kitchen etc., the size of the house, address, owner and price. The notebook could have been used during the period J.C. Le Souëf worked in real estate;
1 brown notebook with 'War Diary' inscribed on the front cover, list of plants (or species' names) and the plants' origins. This notebook could belong to the records Le Souëf kept when he established the Fauna Park;
1 red notebook with 'Australian Diary' inscribed on the front. The notes explain where each item is going to placed within the museum, and some of the items including Aboriginal weapons, insects, skeletons, animal teeth, photographs. The notebook could be part of records compiled at the Rosebud Aquarium or the Fauna Park.
