A humanitarian group that promoted Aboriginal education and advocated full citizenship. The Victorian Aboriginal Group was in existence from 1930 to 1971.

Diane Elizabeth Barwick's PhD research in Melbourne in 1960-63 brought her into contact with members of the Victorian Aboriginal Group, including its leader, Miss Amy Brown. The group's honorary treasurer was Valentine Leeper. Diane Barwick enquired about the role of the Victorian Aboriginal Group with various interviewees duing her initial fieldwork in Melbourne in 1960, but found they were little known.
