Attachment GFrosterley ClubThe Secretary,c/- GPO Box 1289K MELBOURNE VIC 3001 10 September 1976 Dear Member, The third monthly luncheon of the Club was held at the Carlton Bowling Club on Thursday 26 August 1976 and was attended by some 23 members. This was a very gratifying number in view of the fact that several "serving" members were absent interstate, it was during the school holidays and was also the first day of the Victorian power strike. 2. Several of those present expressed some doubt about the suitability of the fourth Thursday in September (ie, 23rd) for our next luncheon as proposed in Bob Crowder's letter of 10 August 1976. As this will be the Melbourne Show Day holiday we decided at the August luncheon to revert to the original plan of holding them on the last Thursday of each month, which will therefore be 30 September 1976. The venue will be the Carlton Bowling Club as usual, at 12.30 pm, and you are asked to let the Secretary know by Friday 24th (Phone 669 4572) if you can come. The October luncheon will be held on 28th at the same time and place. 3. A notice will be shortly sent out concerning another farewell function for some 4 or 5 retired or soon to be retired officers. This will be an evening affair, run in conjunction with the Bureau Social Club, on 14 October 1976, at the Bureau's cafeteria at 150 Lonsdale Street. Yours sincerely, (John Lillywhite)
